Employment
The Stratford Area Watershed Improvement Group (SAWIG) is proud to hire local students to work in the summers on a variety of tasks and projects, including:
stream enhancement,
forestry, wetland, coastal zone and buffer zone assessments,
tree/shrub planting of native Acadian forest species,
participation at community events and activities,
water quality monitoring,
community gardens and orchard maintenance,
and much more.
Thanks to all who have been employed by SAWIG over the years; without your work we would not complete the tasks needed to improve the watersheds in which we serve.
Volunteers
SAWIG relies heavily on volunteers for all aspects of our organization.Â
Our dedicated board of directors is entirely made up of volunteers.
SAWIG also partners with volunteering community members to accomplish our projects such as expanding the community garden, litter clean-ups, tree planting, and running community events.
Thank you to all of our volunteers - past, present, and future!
